Family Pools wants you to be successful with your pool. We have
always provided FREE Water Analysis - how can you solve problems
unless you can identify them?
Our Water Analysis Experts, Cindi, Wilmy, Helen, & Bethany (from
right to left) have, combined, decades of experience
with Family Pools and pool water chemistry. They have received training from multiple
manufacturers, classes, and, of course, you can't replace the
hands-on years of experience just mentioned. We will happily review your results with you and identify
what you can do to enjoy your pool.
What Do I Need to Bring?
You only need to bring 8 oz of water. Make sure you collect it in a
CLEAN PLASTIC or GLASS container - you don't want to contaminate the sample.
Coffee cans or other metal containers will interfere with the water
test. We will not be able to even use the sample and you will need
to go home and collect another sample.
How Often should I do this?
It is especially important to balance your water first thing in
the Spring before any damage occurs due to unbalanced or corrosive
water. If you have us summerize
your pool then we'll automatically test your water and call you when
we have your results. You can then stop in for your printout and
detailed instructions.
We recommend that you stop into either of our stores with a water sample once
a month or, at very least, the beginning, middle, and end of the season. Our
test is more accurate than a home test so, if you've got expensive equipment,
better safe than sorry. Otherwise, feel free to stop in anytime, the test is
always free and we always welcome seeing you.
The Water Testing Lab
Our lab might take a little time and you may encounter a line at
the water testing lab depending on the time of year but we assure
you we've chosen our equipment for accuracy. Make sure to let us
know if you have any special pool concerns as we have more testing
equipment than is visible during the standard seven check test that
we do routinely.
We help special needs pools too! We'll go over your results with you, help
you to understand your water chemistry, guide you to proper water balance, and
help troubleshoot and solve any problems you may be having. We have lots of

Balancing Packages
If you would like to have some balancing chemicals on hand we
have designed
2 different packages that will help you. Many people like to have
these packages delivered with their pool openings so they have
chemicals on hand
