How To Prime the Pump

Priming the pump is simple. Simply make sure the water level is high enough in your pool. The proper water level is just above halfway up the skimmer opening. Make sure everything is connected properly on your system. Open up the pump housing cover on your pump. Pour a bucket of water into the pump housing. Close up the lid securely making sure that the o-ring is seated properly around the cover or in the groove of the pump housing where it belongs. Turn the power on and your pump should prime automatically.

If for some reason your pump doesn’t prime automatically, recheck your steps to make sure you didn’t miss anything. Be patient while the system primes and open up the air relief valve on your filter tank to bleed any excess air out if you have to as the system primes through.
